How we stumbled into each other, I don't know, but I thank God that we're together <3
THOMASFRIENDICK MAN, you rock my life. As Yen said, we spent a quarter of our lives together, that rocks so much lah.
A year ago we were like all nerves because we didn't know how we're going to step up. We were like, ohman we're so scared all over.
Now we're leaving. We've left. Super sad lah, it feels like someone just yanked a whole chunk of meat from my body. SO PAINFUL CAN.
I'm so proud of our batch. How we sang lots of songs during AA prep in Sec 1, how we danced around amusingly as ghosts and devils and humans. How we made waffles in Sec 2. How we were all mucus when Yiwen and Lipin left. How we came up with loads and loads of powerpoints in sec 2 to pass clauses. How we burned our hair during firelighting.
Urban Hike was a success. You know, Weiting and Jasmine rock lah, because they didn't have a lot of time to plan, and even till the last minute there were changes to be made, plus there was SS to mug for.
BATCH, you're THE REASON, JIA GEI WO ba!

thank you all for these 4 years,
for the off-key singing, the ohbiang dancing, the failed test-tubes presents, EVERYTHING.
there's no way i can write out how much batch means to me and how much i <3 you all.
from batch outings at kbox to passing 'hosting international visitors',
we've gone through so much as a batch that nobody besides us will ever know
and that nobody besides us will have the chance to appreciate (:
but i just wanted to thank you for giving me the chance to know a batch of people like you.

i was reading the email from yi wen, and then i thought about how
you cannot be a soccer player forever,
nor a rugby player forever
but you can be a girl guide forever.
its like a feeling thats always there, its a love thats evergreen (whatever evergreen means, but it sounds nice enough to describe the love for guides HAHA)
can you believe it, that coming to 4 years from when we first started out,
we now know how to beloh,homad, and actually march properly
we know how to chunkol nice SQUARES in grass patches and start a fire within what.5 min?
we can pitch a canvas tent.
we know how to make waffles.
we've handled an AXE and a SAW.
we know how to coordinate the action of a sun rising "5,6,7,8 AND 1!2!3!4!"
we know how to love, and love unconditionally.
now.JUST HOW MANY PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD CAN DO ALL THAT HUH.
and when you grow older and people ask you what cca you were in,
im sure that all of you would say with pride and "gusto"(remember geris favourite word!":
"i am a girl guide."

OUR MESSAGE AT THE BACK OF PROGRAMME BOOKLET.
Preparing for this D-day is definitely not easy, and tonight signifies a beautiful closure to our months of preparation, and a memorable last Annual Assembly we will be experiencing as part of RGS Guides.
Even though this is our fourth and very last Annual Assembly, this special night does not belong to us alone, the Secondary Fours of RGS Guides. It belongs to each and every person seated in this place. It belongs to the RGS Secondary 1-3 Guides who have tirelessly put in hours of sweat and pespiration for this event; it belongs to the Guides and Scouts from other schools, be they Sec 1s or Sec 4s, for this will be part of the memories they will have of their Guiding or Scouting journey; it also belongs to every member of the audience, for you have shared this love right here, tonight, with us.
Tonight's theme, "Of Love and Loaves", reflects our immeasurable love and passion for Guiding. It was only by fate's work at hand that our was batch formed in RGS Guides back in 2004. Yet, our fervour for Guiding and one another only blossomed when each of us realised that our happiness lay entirely in our own hands. So, with fingers weaved together and hearts interlocked, we created our own myriad of Seventh Heaven bliss, and hand in hand, made it to where we are today - wholly and utterly thankful for our batch, for our patrols, for our juniors, for RGS Guides, for all the memorable and essential lessons we have gained.
We took it upon ourselves to ignite the passion in each and every one of us, and we hope that as we pass this brilliantly shining torch to our beloved juniors, every single one of you will continue to love Guides wholeheartedly and spread the love for all the wonders around you.
As you depart from tonight's Annual Assembly, we sincerely hope that you've taken away something from this experience and we thank you once again for sharing this love with us, making it truly, a night we shall never forget.
but hey (: it's the best AA we've had.
